Dr. Gavin Miller

Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Gavin Miller was born in Cape Town, South Africa and resided in Johannesburg. Dr. Miller graduated Dental School from Witswatersrand University in 1986.   He spent twelve years in private practice in Sandton City, South Africa before relocating to San Diego in 1998.  

Dr. Miller completes hundreds of hours in continuing education each year ensuring that he offers the best quality and most advanced techniques to his patients.  He offers all aspects of general dentistry, family dentistry, and exceptional aesthetics to his patients.  Dr. Miller recently completed the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry Aesthetic Continuum further advancing his knowledge in this special field.  When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Miller keeps himself in shape by swimming competitively, enjoying a healthy lifestyle, and maximizing time with his wife Wendy, and three daughters Carli, Jody, & Robyn.   

Dr. Miller has extensive experience in all phases of dentistry. His ongoing commitment to consistently provide exceptional dental care has earned him stellar reputations. Our team of progressive doctors places value on continuing education and latest technology.

The San Diego County Dental Society and its members have selected Dr. Miller to sit on the Societies Ethics Committee.  This is another way that he continues to serve his patients with the latest in technology and treatment protocols.

    • Dr. Shawna Fariba

    Cosmetic Dentist

     

    Dr.Shawna Fariba was born and raised in San Diego. She developed a love for working with people early on, and has since striven to find a career in which she could better the lives of others daily. Dr. Fariba studied psychobiology at UC Davis, and further cultivated her passion for art, medicine, and patient care by completing her dental training at University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.


    Dr. Fariba sincerely understands the importance of a gentle touch. She has had the opportunity to refine her dental skills with continuing education courses, as well as actively participating in volunteer work with mission trips to lower income countries. Dr. Fariba is dedicated to her patients and could not be more excited be a part of the team.


    In her free time, Dr. Fariba enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, and hitting the San Diego surf. Dr. Fariba loves traveling, counting Barcelona, Greece, and Italy, to be among her favorite destinations. Anyone who has met Dr. Fariba knows she’s a huge foodie and will always take any opportunity to try a new restaurant. Above all, Dr. Fariba finds the chance to spend time with her family, and especially spoiling her niece, to be the most fulfilling part of being in her hometown that holds such a special place in her heart.

     

    As a patient of Dr. Miller, I have always been impressed with the service, care and professional atmosphere presented by Dr. Miller and his entire staff. Dr. Miller demonstrated his commitment to high quality patient care when a recent accident necessitated immediate emergency care. Without hesitation, he and his incredible staff provided the attention, care and follow-up that "saved" my four front teeth. The respect and kindness, and efficiency provided by Dr. Miller & crew will always be remembered. I extend my heartfelt appreciation for such highly professional patient care. Thank you.

    I had a cleaning appointment. I was so cold and the dental hygenist provided me with a blanket without me asking. I thought this was very thoughtful...it almost felt like I was lying at my home watching TV while laying down on a chair.
